Stop people requesting access to JPD!!!

As an Admin,

i'm sick and tired of daily notifications of people requesting Jira Product Management. None of them are actually interested in the tool, but only their curiosity was triggered by the 'Try' buttons.

JPD is an investment we've analyzed and rejected. These requests now all get ignored or rejected, i do not want the button to be there as it's misleading for our users.

Hi Kevin,

Going by Atlassian's own tracker there is an opt-out for in-product promotions, though it's something their support team applies for you and not a setting you can reach. On JRACLOUD-97215 an Atlassian product manager wrote on 19 January 2026: "We currently have an internal tool that facilitates site-level opt outs for most promotional messaging in product. Please contact your support to opt out your sites." I'd raise a support request asking for that opt-out on your site, quote that ticket and name the Jira Product Discovery prompts in it, because it's applied per site and "most" may leave some prompts or the request emails in place. I haven't tried it myself, so I can't tell you how much of it goes away.

I understand your frustration!

Unfortunately, Atlassian doesn't currently offer a setting to hide the "Try" buttons or completely disable these product trial requests.

This is already tracked here:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ACCESS-1642

The "Don't allow invites" setting can restrict access requests for existing apps, but doesn't address the product discovery buttons themselves.

I'd recommend voting for and watching the feature request.

Hi @Kevin Gérard, totally get it, that gets old fast. @Arkadiusz Wroblewski is right that the "Try" buttons can't be hidden. The request for that is now AX-577 if you want to vote.
If JPD already exists on your site, though, you can stop the access requests: go to Admin > Apps > App access settings > User invites and set Jira Product Discovery to Don't allow invites (docs). For the promo prompts, @Gabriela - LeanZero's tip works : ask support for the site-level promotion opt-out.
Is JPD actually on your site, or are these trial requests? That changes which fix applies.
