Hello! I’m asking a Trello staff member to help restore access to my Private Tasks board. I’m on the Free plan.
The board had only two accounts, both belonging to me:
- My old account with a work email address — was the sole board administrator.
- My personal account — a regular board member.
My work email was deleted and have not logged into the old account since approximately autumn 2021. However, I continued using the board through my personal account.
Around June, I lost access to the board’s contents. When I open it using a saved link, I see the original background and this message: “Private Tasks is closed. To reopen this board, contact one of these board admins:”. No administrators are listed below the message. I can still see activity records from this board in my personal account.
An IT colleague has now set up a temporary solution - email alias so I can receive messages sent to the old work email address. I successfully reset my Atlassian password, but after logging in, Trello asks me to create an account. I have not created a new Trello profile. I suspect the original Trello profile may have been deleted due to inactivity, since it has been ~5 years of inactivity.
Could you please set my personal account as administrator and reopen the board? I am the only remaining member.
My main goal is to regain access to the existing board and its data. I can provide the board link, the old work email address, my personal Trello account details, and supporting screenshots privately to an Atlassian staff member.
