Move customers from one Jira space to another

Question

I created a new space for a specific only customer. I was able to move the customer to the new space but if I delete them from the original space, they get deleted in the new space. How can I remove the customers from the old space(that they are not to have access to) & keep them in the new space.

Thank you everyone. I think I understand what you are all saying but don't want to make this change on a Friday. I will try Matthew Sinclair's & what I found from Jira help page (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/remove-an-organization-from-a-service-project/) on Monday & report back.

Organizations are managed ultimately in the "Jira-Admin" (Naturally you need to be a Jira-Admin to access) control panel - top right corner next to your profile icon → Jira Apps → Service Management Apps Section → Organizations

Here you can edit/manipulate the overall global pool.

After that you can go to your JSM Space - not Space Settings (this is the confusing part) → Under your Spaces Display name in the left Navigation Tray/Menu → Customers then click Organizations Tab.

There you can Add/Remove Organizations from the pool aforementioned earlier.

Basically this will let you isolate your JSM Space as you see fit.

Whether it be piecemeal customers or Organization method.

To start we had a general Help Desk space for all of clients. This included the customers & organization. We decided to create a new space for 1 specific client. When we created the new space all the customers & organization were showing. We were able to get only the specific customer & organization only to be shown (Not sure how we did that.) We were able to move all of the specific clients tickets moved to the new space. Now this specific customer/organization are in both spaces. We just need the this specific customer/organization remain in the new space & removed from the original space.
