How do we set up trello, so that it only shows the templated checklists in the drop down menu rather than every checklist that you have ever added to a card?
Not directly. Trello doesn’t provide a setting to limit the checklist dropdown to templates.
A practical workaround is to make a card template for each standard checklist and create new cards from those templates. Hope this helps

That doesn't really work for us as we are adding multiple checklists to the same card, therefore we need were looking for a way to clean this up as Trello keeps trying to add obsolete or previously used checklists instead of the clean up-to-date checklist.
