Is there a way to use Trello as a more structured scheduling and dispatching tool?
Our team manages hundreds of work orders daily, and I would like to know if Trello could organize these tasks similarly to our EBS scheduling system.
For example, each employee would have their own lane, with work orders automatically grouped and sorted by priority based on our plant maintenance system.
Example – Employee 1:
- P1 – 5 work orders
- P2 – 8 work orders
- P3 – 4 work orders
- P4 – 1 work orders
- P9 – 2 work orders
Ideally, the employee would be able to work down their assigned lane in priority order, starting with P1 tasks and progressing through the lower priorities, without having to manually search through or reorganize their Trello cards.
The goal is to improve scheduling efficiency, provide better visibility of assigned work, and ensure employees are consistently working on the highest-priority tasks.
Is this functionality currently available in Trello, perhaps through automation, custom fields, or Power-Ups? If not, could this be considered as a future feature enhancement?
