On-call schedule popup should always display the actual start and end dates

Hi,

In the “Your on-call schedule” calendar, the schedule popup sometimes shows messages such as:

Starts: Cannot be displayed (a past date than shown in this screen)
Ends: Cannot be displayed (a future date than shown in this screen)

Instead, it would be much more useful to always display the actual start and end date/time, regardless of whether those dates fall within the currently displayed week or month.

There is also a confusing case in Month view: if a schedule spans across two weeks, the popup may show this message even when the actual start or end date is still visible within the same month currently displayed.

For example, if a schedule starts on December 15 and ends on December 20, both dates are visible in the December month view, so there should be no reason to hide either value.

Expected behavior:
The popup should always show the schedule’s real start and end date/time, even when one of them falls outside the currently visible calendar range.

I have been able to replicate the behavior and I have gone ahead and created https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-19825 to request our team add this type of functionality. I attempted to replicate this behavior on my test instance, but I was unable to get the messages you noted. This might be best to submit a support case to our support team with screenshots to see if we can replicate the behavior locally. If you are comfortable doing so you can also feel free to post the screenshots here. We would basically want to see the configuration of the schedule and the error conditions you are presenting. I am guessing there is something different about the way I attempt to configure my test schedule versus what you have configured.

I think AlertOps handles this: the shift details show the actual start and end date and time, even when the shift runs past the week or month you’re viewing. With Opsgenie reaching end of life, it might be worth a look.
