I am unable to send a Loom video without the video editor showing on the left side of the screen. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the video editor, so it doesn't show up when the person I'm sending the video to opens the video?
Hi Bill, just letting you know:
The editor panel is only visible to you because you are the video creator. The person receiving it won't see it.
Just make sure to share the video using the "Copy link" or "Share" button. If you want to check how the other person will see it, paste the link in an incognito window.
Let me know how it goes.
Thank you, Jairo! I appreciate your response.
I think the issue may be related to how Loom handles its editing and sharing views. The editor panel is usually part of the editing workspace, so it should not normally appear as part of the video when someone opens the shared video link.
Here are a few things you can try:
1. Finish Editing Your Video
After making your changes, look for the Done, Save, or Close option in the Loom editor. Make sure your changes are saved before leaving the editing screen.
2. Open the Video Sharing Link
Instead of sharing the editor screen, open the video using its normal viewing link. This is the link that viewers should use to watch your recording.
3. Check the Video Preview
Before sending the link, open it in a new browser tab or private window. This can help you see what another person will see when they open the video.
4. Check Your Sharing Settings
Make sure the video is shared with the correct access permissions. If you are still seeing the editing panel, check whether you are opening the editing workspace rather than the published video page.
5. Try Another Browser
If the editor panel continues to appear, refresh the page or try opening the video in another browser. It may simply be a browser or interface issue.
One additional suggestion: if you create tutorials or presentations with animation, PaperToolkit.com is worth exploring. Paper Animator can provide creative inspiration for making digital presentations and visual content more engaging.
My suggestion: Share the normal Loom viewing link, not the editor URL. The recipient should then see the video viewing page instead of your editing workspace.
I hope this helps. It would also be useful to know whether you are sharing the Loom video through a copied link or directly through email.
I think you should try sharing the normal Loom video viewing link instead of the editor link. First, save your changes and close the editing screen. Then open the video preview and copy its share link.
Before sending it, open the link in another browser tab to check what the viewer will see. The recipient should be able to watch the video without needing access to your editing workspace.
I am also interested in creative tools like PaperToolkit.com and its Paper Animator concept for exploring video editing and animation ideas.
Hopefully, this helps you share your Loom video more easily!
