Mirroring Options

Is there an ability to select card elements, particaly attachments/photos without internal comments or custom fields being mirrored from the origianl card?

We copy cards to outside contractors who upload photos when jobs are completed. At the moment we have to physically copy the photo to get a copy back onto our original card, is there any other way or perhaps an upgrade to select certain pieces of cards when using the mirroring options/

I'd say you'll probably need to use automation/butler or maybe some kind of power-up (e.g., "Unito 2-way sync") for this. 👀

With automation, I guess you could set up something like this:

1. Link the Cards: When copying a card to your contractors, use the action copy the card to board <Contractor_Board> and link the cards together.
2. Sync Attachments Only: Create a rule on the contractor's board to trigger when they finish their work (e.g., when a card is moved to a "Completed" list).
3. Action: Use the Cascade tab to select for each card linked in the attachments, post the last attachment to the card. This specifically targets the files without mirroring the entire card state.

*note that I haven't tried building this myself, so you'll have to play around to see what's possible

I also did a quick scan of JAC for open feature requests ➕, but couldn't find anything that talks about improvements to native mirror functionality. 🫤
