I can't delete my account!!!

I am completely stuck in a loop trying to delete my Atlassian account and data.

I do not recall creating this account, and I have already tried to delete it several times and in different ways. I have also deactivated the applications associated with it, and I do not have any active subscription or paid plan.

Every time I try to delete my account, I get the following message:

“Your account can't be deleted because:
User is last billing admin of a transaction account that has one or more non-cancelled subscriptions.”

I honestly don’t know what else to do at this point, and I’m extremely frustrated and tired of these repeated, unsuccessful attempts to close this damn account!!

Please help me permanently delete my account and organization, and let me know what needs to be done to resolve whatever is preventing the deletion.

As a community of users we don't have the access to directly affect your account, but we can offer you advice.

The message about being the last billing admin indicates that your account is a billing admin for some subscription that has not been cancelled or for which the cancellation has not yet been fully processed by Atlassian. After cancelling a subscription it remains valid until the next billing date, in case you change your mind and want to reactivate it. So if you have only recently cancelled product subscriptions they still may need to pass that mark.

Additionally, depending on what subscription you may have gotten associated to, there may have been other product subscriptions started automatically that you can't self-serve cancel.

So, first go to https://admin.atlassian.com. Select any Organzations that appear. Review what apps are shown under Apps > Atlassian Apps. If you see apps such as Projects or Goals, those are apps that require assistance from Atlassian to cancel. You can reach out to the Billing/Licensing support team for that help through this page:

You will also want to look under Billing in Administration. That will show any third party apps that you may have subscribed to. Each of those subscriptions would also need to be cancelled.

Another place to look is https://admin.atlassian.com/billing The first site above will show you only Organizations where you have access. The Billing Console will show you subscriptions where you are identified as a Billing Admin. Somebody else may have added you as a billing admin to a subscription without your knowledge.
