Unable to Recover Existing Trello Account

I'm trying to recover an older Trello account that I used extensively for several years.

I still have the original "Welcome to Trello" email from taco@trello.com.

I created and actively used multiple boards, but when I attempt to sign in today, Atlassian alternately tells me that:

• "Looks like it's your first time on Trello," or
• that I don't have a Trello account.

I'm concerned that my Trello account has become disconnected from my Atlassian account. Could someone please help me locate and restore my original Trello account and boards?

Since you still have the original "Welcome to Trello" email, there's a good chance the account still exists—it's often an account access or identity issue rather than missing data.

I'd suggest checking the following:

• Confirm you're signing in with the exact same email address that received the original Trello welcome email.
• If you previously signed in using Google, Microsoft, Apple, or another identity provider, try that same sign-in method instead of email/password.
• If Trello says "Looks like it's your first time on Trello," it's usually a sign that you've logged into a different Atlassian account than the one that owns your boards.

If none of those work, I'd recommend raising a request with Atlassian Support and including:

• The email address from your original Trello welcome email.
• The approximate account creation date.
• Any board names or workspace names you remember.
• A copy of the original welcome email as proof of ownership.

That should give the support team the best chance of locating your original account and restoring access.
