rovodev standard trial not working, You've reached your Rovo Dev credit limit

Hello All,

I created a standard trial account, configured billing details and opened rovodev CLI

I configured extra credit usage =0 as I understand trial credits are 2000.

after authenticating and while executing rovodev run, it throws this error

I check other blogs and in web also, I see this in Admin panel

Any idea what I might be missing in config ?

I guess that the degraded experience had something to do with that switch.

We've also uncovered a bug while rolling out new changes and the team is working on resolving it ASAP.

If you have a payment method setup, this bug is then likely affecting you.

@asd @Peppe Iodice @Grafeeti 282 — this behavior wasn’t actually a real credit limit being reached. Atlassian confirmed this was a bug during recent changes to Rovo Dev credit handling, especially affecting users with a payment method configured. That’s why you’re seeing messages like “0 remaining” despite minimal usage.

@rajesh6m — your case is slightly different. If no valid payment method is set, trials may not continue under the updated model, so that part is expected behavior rather than the same bug.

@Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_ — you were on the right track referencing the credit changes, but the “limit reached” message here was misleading due to the bug, not actual consumption.

What to do:

If you have billing set up and still see this error, raise a support ticket with your cloudId/AAID so Atlassian can fix it on the backend.
If you don’t have billing set up, double-check the new requirements for trial access.

This is mostly a backend issue during rollout, not a misconfiguration or actual quota exhaustion.

The same thing is happening here. In my case, I have the premium version, and today everything just stopped working. It says there are 22 days left, when there are clearly 30.
