Happy Feel Good Friday, Community!

It was a beautiful, spring-like week of sunny weather here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. However, today has turned a bit gloomy and more wintery. Earlier this week, with the sun casting that warm glow, everything just felt brighter (pun intended) and cheerier!

It got me thinking - what are some of your favorite colors to surround yourself with as a pick-me-up or just in general?

My favorite color is purple, but a soft yellow always feels like sun to me.

In my own life I prefer muted colors with pops of color as a highlight!

Of course I routinely forget my preferences and often purchase items of clothing, footwear, etc. that go overboard. 😅

Oooh good point. I love a pair of colorful shoes, tbh. For clothes, I've kind of shifted towards more muted colors for the most part, but as a Kindergarten teacher, I wore lots of fun patterns and colors - think Miss Frizzle but just a little less... 🤪

Happy Friday, Amanda! I totally get the gloomy weather vibe. It is amazing how much a bit of color can change your mood. 🌞

I have always been drawn to deep forest greens and teals, there is something about those earthy tones that feels grounded and peaceful, especially when the weather outside is acting up. That succulent wall idea from Billy sounds like an absolute dream for a workspace!

Oooh, I LOVE this idea! I love plants but tend to kill too many to have a wall of them, but it would be so lovely. Probably brings some healthy humidity to a space in dry winter months, too!

I love light colours with a cool undertone. Greige is my favorite color. And although you could think "how boring", this color gives me peace and serenity without overwhelming me. Also I love how this color is changing depending on the light fall. #simplethings

I was visiting my parents this week, and for the last couple of days, it was quite gloomy. It even started snowing the other day ☃️
I feel like during these cold days I could mainly sleep - 2-3 times during the day, easy 😅

I'm waiting for sunny days, and spring as these 🟢 green (grass/garden) and 🔵 blue (sky) really can 'pick me up.' Especially when it's sunny outside 🌤️

My favourite colour is purple - there's just something about it that always makes me happy, so if I ever need a mood change, I just throw on a purple t-shirt and I'm instantly lifted.

If I need to find some calm and re-centre, then the green of a local park or bushland usually does the trick.

I've never heard of greige, and love it!

As someone who grew up with lots of beige (now retro) technology, the appeal is innate. 😂
