Introduce Yourself!

Keira Gallagher

👋 Welcome to the Philly Atlassian Community Events chapter!

Please take a few minutes to introduce yourself to your fellow Philadelphians! And I know a lot of you are in the Greater Philadelphia area - the suburbs count too! 🙂

In your intro, share anything you're comfortable sharing, like:

Your name
Where you work
How many years you've used Atlassian tools
The Atlassian tools you're using (or have used)
What draws you to Atlassian tools
Any fun facts about yourself you'd like to share! 🏄‍♀️

@Keira Gallagher - 🙌 I'll start! (And would love to see your answers!)

Where you work: I'm an admin for many SaaS systems, including Jira
How many years you've used Atlassian tools: too long
The Atlassian tools you're using (or have used): Bamboo, Crowd, Bitbucket, HipChat, Jira, Confluence, Statuspage, Trello, Loom ... Arc ✨
What draws you to Atlassian tools: Atlassian's tools are meant to solve challenges that my teams and I face every day - and we love solving challenges!
Any fun facts about yourself you'd like to share! I made an intro page on Community (that needs updating) in the Welcome Center - on it, I mention I love coffee. I think I love coffee too much. ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️

Mathew Lederman

Hello everyone! Checking in from West Chester out in the burbs!

I work at Cotality (formerly CoreLogic) but fully remote. Our big offices are outside LA and Dallas.
I've been using Atlassian tools for about 7 years now, admin for 3 ... interesting years
Atlassian tools you're using: Jira, Jira Service Management, Jira Product Discovery, Confluence. We have a few Trello users, but not an approved tool, so we're working on dwindling usage.
What draws you to Atlassian tools: It used to be how flexible, simple, and functional everything was. Now that Atlassian is going more the direction of ServiceNow, I'm asking myself this question more often.
Hoping to get out to Teams in Anaheim again this year, so if anybody else is going, would love to do a Philly meet-and-greet.

Thanks for getting this going @Keira Gallagher

Gary Spross

A little late to the party, but better late than never!

Where you work:
- I'm an admin for everything Atlassian for a SaaS company
How many years you've used Atlassian tools:
- I started working in Jira & Confluence server in 2008
The Atlassian tools you're using (or have used):
- Jira
- Jira Service Management
  - Operations (formerly Opsgenie)
  - Assets
- Jira Product Discovery
- Confluence
- Loom
- Statuspage
What draws you to Atlassian tools:
- When I started working in Jira/Confluence, the instance was such a mess because nobody was maintaining it, so I volunteered myself. That was when I found my calling and realized how much I enjoyed helping to create process, apply automations, & configure integrations that made other users work life more efficient
Any fun facts about yourself you'd like to share!
- E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Mathew Lederman - d'oh, I remember seeing your post but forgot to help coordinate a Philly meet-and-greet!

Hopefully you can join the next Philly ACE!
