Update
Great news! Team Hierarchy in Atlassian Teams is now rolling out to all customers. Check out our latest post for full details.

Hello Atlassian Community!
We’re excited to announce the launch of Team hierarchy for Atlassian Teams. We’re inviting you to join our Early Access Program (EAP) where you'll be among the first to use and provide feedback on it.
What is Team Hierarchy?
With Team Hierarchy, you can now mirror your organization’s real-world structure directly in Atlassian. This means you can create parent-child relationships between teams - think departments, sub-groups, squads, and more. Teams can be linked and visualized in a hierarchy, making it easier to navigate, report, and manage at scale.

Why are we building this?
As organizations grow, so does complexity. Many of you have told us that flat team structures make it hard to:
-
Mirror real-world org structures (departments, sub-groups, squads, etc.)
-
Roll up reporting and insights across teams
About the Early Access Program

-
Not planning a organization consolidation or merge in the next 6 months
-
Enthusiastic about shaping Atlassian Team’s direction by regularly participating in the Community Group and providing feedback
