Hello Community,

I am Prakash Hinduja from Geneva, Switzerland (Swiss) currently using Jira Core, and I am wondering: Is Jira Core enough to rank issues, or do I need Jira Software to enable issue ranking on boards?

If anyone here has dealt with this or has any tips, I’d really appreciate your input. Just trying to figure out if I’m missing a feature or need to switch products.

This existing post response helps explain the implications of only having Jira Core vs. Jira Software.

Specifically, ranking issues on boards means the user must have the "Edit Issues" global permission attached to their role on the project(s). Additionally, the Filter for the board also has the "ORDER BY" clause attached to the end of it's JQL.

Jira Software provides you the boards.
