I have said this before and with the rise of the Strategic apps maybe we'll see the connection soon between ideation and funding?

I had that discussion a while ago with @Tanguy Crusson on how we can now connect the ideas with a portfolio decision, plan it, add resources to it and fund it in a OpEx or CapEx budget with priority.

Obviously the two budget types makes for two distinctly different flows as OpEx budgets already exists, and the idea only need a high enough priority. For projects in the CapEx flow however there is a portfolio and funding discussion that proceeds this activity and in today's flow in JPD it is not supported as I see it?

Today I have not seen anything in the strategic tools that suggests there will be any form of Portfolio structure, but maybe that will surface in the future and it that happens I would love to see a secondary flow where an idea can become an Investment project rather than a development point in an existing operational budget!
