Where are you looking to have that filtering applied? In Jira or in Compass?

If you mean Jira project, then I don't think so unfortunately - this is mentioned in passing in https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Compass-questions/Component-catalog-breakdown-by-attribute/qaq-p/2983945.

If you mean a non Atlassian project, then you could use labels or a custom-field and then filter on that.
