How do I filter on a date range from a control variable

I have a query where I perform multiple transformations to. One of the columns in my results table is a date format 'yyyy-Www', i.e. '2025-W09'. As the last step in my chart building, I want to filter the date range from a control variable. When I use the filter widget and select the week column, it doesn't seem to work and doesn't give me any of my results past end of 2024, even if I use {TODAY}:

Do I have to format the 'Week' column first?

Hi @Foster Cryer , the query itself is very simple, but the purpose of the chart is to get the cumulative number of issues (I've got other filters in case I wanted to just see a particular issue type, etc), but it's important that I capture the entirety of the issues from beginning of the project so I can build a cumulative chart. If I limit my query to just this year, I miss the cumulative value from last year even if I only want to see the chart in a zoomed in interval.

I've been able to filter the overall chart by creating another filter just to get the calendar interval I'm interested in seeing and joining that with the actual query, but it would be so much easier to do this in the visual filter on the results table.

This filter seems to work on the 'Start' side but when I added the condition for the 'End', I don't see any issues.

@Broussard, Anna - can you provide more information on the query that's driving this 'Week' column? Without seeing the rest of the steps involved with this chart, my first recommendation would be to add a filter for the date field that is the source of the 'Week' column.

For example, if the Resolution at field is the source and you have a calendar control created with a name of CALENDAR, then I would setup the following filter within the query that has the Resolution at field:

Resolution at between {CALENDAR.START} and {CALENDAR.END}
