how do i connect a git repository which is in a windows server to sourcetree? what is the URL format to be added? pls help me.

You just need the git URL.

This is not SourceTree specific, you'd probably have more luck asking on a site like StackOverflow where you'll find more git self-hosters (instead of just git self-hosters who use SourceTree as a client).
