Hi all,
Sorry if this has already been asked! I'm working with a few internal stakeholders (services and support teams) on accessing JPD for updates to ideas or requests they submit on behalf of their customers.
One question that has come up is on how they can export the lists on their own so that they can put that together with other items that aren't ideas, i.e. work that doesn't require product research or development, when presenting project or status updates in their meetings.
As a contributor, the export/cloud download button shows but when it is clicked, it says that they don't have permission. Based on the permission settings, it doesn't seem like a Contributor will be able to export views. Is this correct? If so, is there anything planned to allow them to in the future?
I'm also trying to come up with alternatives in case the above is true:
- What would happen if I duplicate the Contributor role and give them a permission that is marked for Creator (i.e. Export a view)? Would that result in that duplicate Contributor role being treated as a Creator type role?
- Is there a way to surface the latest comment as a field in the view?
Thanks!
