Data Center Love Month: Confluence Highlights Demo

Jacqueline Bietz

Hi Data Center Community,

Happy Data Center Love Month!

I’m Jacqui, one of the product managers for Confluence Data Center. I’m excited to share with you a few highlights across the Confluence releases we’ve shipped over the past 12 months.

All mentioned features will be included in our next Long Term Support (LTS) release, Confluence 9.2, which is planned for release in Q4 2024. Confluence 9.2 will be the first LTS release on the Confluence 9 platform, with a strong focus on strengthening the security of growing enterprises, as well as powerful features that accelerate team productivity, and improvements to the admin experience.

Press play on the video below to see a selection of features that have recently landed in Confluence and will be available when you upgrade to Confluence 9.2 LTS. To explore all updates since your last upgrade, check out the Confluence upgrade matrix. If you’d like to see what else is coming to Data Center, visit the Data Center roadmap.

To enter for your chance to win Data Center exclusive swag*, tell us 1 of the following in the comments:

How you’ve been using these features.
Which feature you’re most excited to use after your next upgrade.
If you don’t have Confluence, tell us which Data Center product you’d like to see a feature highlight video for next.

*At this time, swag is available for US shipping only. Winners will be notified at the end of the month.

Thanks for being part of our community!

So excited to see Dark Mode coming soon...thanks!

Dark mode ( so no need for plugin) and better search engine!

Tomislav Tobijas

Yay for dark mode 🖤 and word & character counter 🧮! (I hope to see that on cloud too)

The Confluence v9.2 feature i'm most excited is the "Sort Columns with text, dates...." I hope this feature also includes filtering data. Overall this feature will increase user productivity. The Dark Mode is cool but does not attribute to improving user productivity.

So excited for dark mode! This has been requested by many users. The Time to read at the top of the page will also be a huge add for leadership, as well as those to prepare for leadership content to ensure they don't go down the TLDR path!

Sortable columns and easily-resized images will be welcome features!

The best part of "dark mode" is the fact that it has a "Match System" option (which for me is configured to auto-change based on the time-of-day). It doesn't make sense to have dark mode active all the time (see my comment about the problems with dark mode), but it does make sense to have it available in certain conditions (like when the room is dark!)

Thanks for posting these highlight reels. It's great to know what's coming!

For sure excited for Dark Mode!!

Oh, I think my most loved ones are:

sorting tables. This is really handy as long as there's no Confluence Databases for DC (any plans to support these?)
resize images. Dealing with images never felt easy to me, that resize handle will be helpful.
word/character count. This is really handy if you're working on e.g. talk submissions or similar.

Thank you.

We haven't upgraded yet but I am very excited for Dark Mode!
