I have a US manufacturing client in which I created a Fastapi app that sits between the ERP and Trello that creates projects across 4 departments and required task items in checklist. We could have used Zapier or Make but the business rules were assessed to be better implemented via code instead. For update of Trello status to the ERP we use the http request in Trello automatic to an end point on the ERP. The ERP is an old homegrown Visual Basic app. Trello was used to have better visibility into work progression performed by the departments.

I actually have the same question because I’m trying to figure out the best way to organize our e-commerce orders in Trello for production tracking as well. Right now, all our orders go directly into our ERP and then production starts across different sites, but it’s hard to get a clear overview of the workflow. Being able to have a Trello board with columns for each stage like “Starting Production,” “Produced,” and “Ready for Ship” would make it much easier to see the status of every order at a glance and manage priorities. This kind of setup actually reminds me of how dropshipping services USA manage their order pipelines. You can check more about it here https://frienddropshipping.com/. I’m also wondering how to automate this effectively, so that orders from the website or ERP are added to the right category automatically, instead of manually creating cards for each order. It would be great if each card could include item details, production site, and maybe even deadlines, so the board acts like a live production dashboard. If anyone has successfully set up something like this or knows the best integration tools between an ERP and Trello, I’d really appreciate the insight because I’m trying to do the same thing.

Managing eCommerce orders on a Trello board. It can be a bit of a juggling act. Trello is a solid choice since it gives you a visual overview of everything. You can move cards around easily, which helps keep track of what needs to be done next. I’ve found it super handy for organizing tasks, especially with all those different stages an order goes through.
