And When I try to curl on localhost:8085, I get [JohnsonFilter] The application is not yet setup. Redirecting request from '/start.action' to '/bootstrap/selectSetupStep.action'.

Tried changing the JVM settings as suggested in https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Bamboo-questions/http-nio-8085-exec-1-JohnsonFilter-The-application-is-not-yet/qaq-p/1744862 , but no luck.

From the provided logs, we could not point to any particular error as to why the application failed to start.

Do you see any particular errors in the <Bamboo-home>/logs/atlassian-bamboo.log file before these logs?

Please also check <Bamboo-install>/logs/catalina.out file reporting any errors for application startup.

From the provided logs, I see the Bamboo-home directory is pointed to "/home/atlassian-bamboo-8.2.9". Can you please check if this is the correct Bamboo home path?

Could you please provide us with the error screenshot you were receiving while trying to open the Bamboo UI?

Please also let us know if this is the new installation of Bamboo or upgrading the Bamboo.

First of all thank you so much for taking time to help me out, really appreciate it.

As for your questions:

2. PFB the logs from catalina.out. There are certain errors logged here, but are these causing the issue?

3. As for Bamboo Home path, I believe thats the correct path, as my Bamboo is starting up, as well as all the logs are being logged, so I dont think there is an issue with the PATH. However, please note this path is actually the Bamboo Installation Directory, as when I give any path apart from this, my Bamboo itself doesn't start up, and no logs are logged in atlassain-bamboo.log file.

4. The URL itself is not reachable, hence I have not even yet got a chance to see the UI.

5. This is a new Bamboo Installation for the first time, as I am trying to create a POC for my organisation for them to see how bamboo works, if its successful, then we buy Bamboo at organisational level for all projects, hence this POC is important for me, to demonstrate the use of Bamboo to my senior management.

Note: I have also decreased the JVM heap size to 64m, and also, the server configurations, are well above the requirements mentioned on the official website.

I hope I answered all your questions, any help or direction is appreciated.

I don't see any issues in the provided Bamboo server logs or Catalina logs, which could stop the application.

I would suggest increasing the JVM heap size to a minimum of 1GB for the initial startup.

After starting the Bamboo service from the server using <Bamboo-Install>/bin/start-bamboo.sh folder, it will create a configuration file "bamboo.cfg.xml" in <Bamboo-Home> folder. Can you please check if this exists in your Bamboo-home folder? the user running the Bamboo service(check using ps -ef|grep -I bamboo) should have complete access to both Bamboo-Home and Bamboo-Install folders.

If you have the correct access for <Bamboo-Home>/bamboo.cfg.xml file and the folders, you should be able to access the Bamboo URL(http://localhost:8085) from the UI and need to setup the application with the license, database and other configuration details as mentioned in the below document. https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamboo0802/running-the-setup-wizard-1103432740.html

Once the setup is completed, you should be able to access the application.

As per your suggestion I have increased the JVM heap space to 1GB.

Unfortunately this file itself is not getting created "bamboo.cfg.xml". I think its not even reaching the creation step.

777 access have been given on the directory level itself.

Is there anything else I am missing here?
