Templates and time zones

Is there any way to have the "next update" in a template to be timezone agnostic?

I am talking about providing the next update info, not into a quantity of minutes of hours, bur rather state a date and a time with a given time zone.

Then I would like users to be able to configure to see the alerts in any time zone of their choice.

We currently provide the next update using a date time in UTC as as static value, so for those outside of the UK we need a manual calculation, prone to human error. Then for those reading the message from outside the UK, need to make yet another translation.

Is there a way for the creator to use a local timezone and then for the readers to configure their local timezome and allow statuspage to convert the times?

This is Jesse from the Statuspage support team. Welcome to the community and thanks for the question about timezones and templates. We currently don't have this feature but I do see we have a request for changes around how timezones work in Statuspage. I have added this community post to the request to share more interest in it. This will help engineering decide whether this is something they will commit to on their roadmap. 

Right now, users tend to keep the UTC timezone and then add some example timezones in their templates to account for the differences. Hopefully, this is something the team can implement after more interest is shown.
