Hello! Thank you all in advance for your help!
We are a custom cabinet shop and we are using Trello to track our rework (we are planning to track all job types in the future but are starting with something small). The problem is that any particular item may not follow the same path (if we don't have a material we can go drafting - purchasing - CNC BUT if we have the material we will skip purchasing). Make sense?
We have 1 board called "Production" this card movement is automated so the Project Managers can see at a quick glance where the item is. Each list in the board has their own board (upcoming, in process and complete) that matches the templated card and the lists on the Production board.
I currently have it set up that whoever makes the card will check the boxes of the involved departments. When they check the box Trello copies the card, links them and moves the card to the matching Board (If sanding is checked the card is copied, linked and the copy is moved to the sanding board). The goal is that when drafting moves the card to Done the card on the Production board will move the next appropriate list based. This works great when every department is involved BUT when we have to jump over a department (as shown below) the card movement on the Production board gets screwed up. Meaning the card still moves to purchasing after drafting but in reality it needs to move to CNC.
Any ideas on how we can solve for this?
