Why isn't my reporting producing anything - email sent is empty?

The code behind the report created in Scheduled Automations is:

every friday at 11:00 am, create a report in variable "fridayreport" with all cards in list "Done 🎉", and send an email notification to "kalps.b@btinternet.com" with subject "Friday Report" and message "{fridayreport_html}"The email appears and has nothing in it - please advise?  What am I doing wrong please?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to have the card activity in the report.

You can use these variables to add card details to the report: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/butler-variables/

The only ones I found regarding activity are {cardlastactivitydate} and {cardlastactivityisodatetime}, which will show the last activity date and time.

Thank you so much - how can I edit this to include activity within cards please?

And can I edit it to select certain Activity updates only please?

The dollar sign ($) is missing in the variable. It should be formatted like this {$variable}.

This is how your rule will look like after changing it:

every friday at 11:00 am, create a report in variable "fridayreport" with all cards in list "Done 🎉", and send an email notification to "kalps.b@btinternet.com" with subject "Friday Report" and message "{$fridayreport_html}"
