Object grouping

I would like the option to group objects on the whiteboard together for easy editing.
An example is rescaling of multiple objects (rectangles) at once when building a template for a PI planning board. In the current iteration, objects have to be scaled individually, which becomes very time consuming and prone for errors once the complexity of the layout increases.

Bumping this request - we need to be able to group objects. Another use case for this is so we can attach a stamp to an object.

This is very important. All of the other drawing tools which compete with confluence have the ability to group objects. This is necessary to have a consistent look to a diagram, and also necessary for maintenance of designs.

Not sure which I was most, flabbergasted or gobsmacked, to see that grouping is not already a thing in Whiteboards. I checked the JAC, but couldn't find any FR for it either. Should I raise one?

I am just now familiarizing myself with Confluence whiteboards with a mission of finding the differences between it and Miro. Not having the voting option and not have the grouping option are the first major differences. The lack of a grouping option surprises me, it is included in most all design softwares and whiteboards I have ever used.

Yes please, bumping this again, whiteboard is a good tool if you already have confluence and don't want to try and jump onto Miro, but it needs this capability.

Has there been any progress with regards to this request for the ability to group objects in the Whiteboard? Would love to see this feature added to the right-click list, so that after selecting multiple objects, we can group them together, but still have the ability to edit them (e.g. change the text, resize, etc.). This is really just lazy product management not to have something as fundamental as grouping, and then separately, sizing multiple objects at the same time. It's entry to the game for online collaboration tools. This alone should have most users consider more capable alternatives like Miro etc, but I suspect many users are tied into Confluence Whiteboard because the business uses other Atlassian products.

Please guys - can we prioritize this?

This is absolutely insane, I don't know how you could write a tool like this and not have the option. Grouping has been around since the 1990's!

/sigh another no brainer feature missing from whiteboards that adds time to doing basic tasks. Any update on this @Scott Le

Here is an example of how missing basic features compounds to create an extremely frustrating and time consuming experience for a super basic job.

- I'm building a table in whiteboard because there is no table feature

- I want large text in the cells but because the largest size is 'heading' I have to add the text as a separate object

- Now I want to move these double elements around but that is finicky and time consuming because I have to move each set of elements individually because I can't group them

- My tables also look bad because I can't use the alignment feature because it aligns the text and the shape because they're not grouped.
