board "group by"?

Coming over from Clickup at my new company. 

 

They have a very useful feature than allows me to group the cards on the board by different fields. For example, instead of the default status lists (upcoming, doing, done), I could choose to group by Due Date for example. Upon choosing, the board reconfigures showing date columns (lists) across. 

Is this available - even with a Power Up?

Trello has a different approach to ClickUp and Monday.com approach. 

It is a simpler setup, but that doesn't make it less capable.

You can use the lists to group things in any way you like, some examples...

• Workflow - To-do, Doing, Done
• When - Today, This week, this month
• Days -Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Who - Steve, Susie, Bob, Alison 

And many more...

So that is 1 dimensional but you can then add to that using the filtering in Trello, which can apply by date, label and member.

Combining the board list structure with the filtering capability opens up for combinations, for example:

• Days combined with member
• Workflow combined with date due
• Who combined with priority labels

and many more...

 

To get the most out of Trello, I would look to maximise this capability. If you do want more, there are some power-ups..
