Friday Fun: Would You Rather?

Amanda Barber

Happy Friday, Atlassian Community! (Well, it's 5am on Friday in Sydney anyways...gives new meaning to "it's 5:00 somewhere" I guess!)

It Is Friday GIF by 大姚Dayao

I thought that this week we could play a little Would You Rather?

I'll provide a few below - feel free to share your answers to the questions and/or share your own Would You Rather questions!

Would You Rather?' game • MinistryArk

Would you rather have a completely automated home or a self-driving car?
Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?
Would you rather have super sensitive taste buds or super sensitive hearing?
Would you rather lose all your money and valuables or lose all the pictures you have ever taken?
Would you rather donate your body to science or donate your organs to people who need them?

I asked my 12 year old her responses:

Would you rather have a completely automated home or a self-driving car?
- self-driving car
Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?
- fly because I could go anywhere I wanted to
Would you rather have super sensitive taste buds or super sensitive hearing?
- taste buds because I wouldn't want to hear everything and it would be pretty loud
Would you rather lose all your money and valuables or lose all the pictures you have ever taken?
- money and valuables because I don't have much money
Would you rather donate your body to science or donate your organs to people who need them?
- organs to people who need them

Cassie the Jira Mechanic

1. Self driving car!

2. Fly for sure

3. Sensitive hearing

4. Lose my valuables

5. To people that need them

Dave Rosenlund (Trundl)

"....gives new meaning to "it's 5:00 somewhere"" 😆

self-driving car
fly for one day
super sensitive taste buds or super sensitive hearing >> neither
pictures (I have memories, but I do need to eat and pay my bills)
organs to people who need them

Chris Iacovelli

home because I'd rather have flying cars than self driving
invisible because I want to see inside the count rooms for a casino
hearing because I am losing mine
pictures because my memories and feelings are far better than the actual pictures
organs because these provide an immediate chance for life saving to others

I would rather have vanilla fudge ripple over other flavors of ice cream (I know you did not ask but this is an important "would you rather" for me).

Fun prompt, @Amanda Barber !

Would you rather have a completely automated home or a self-driving car?
- Automated home (because of the 1999 DCOM and cinematic masterpiece "Smart House")
Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?
- Fly
Would you rather have super sensitive taste buds or super sensitive hearing?
- Taste buds
Would you rather lose all your money and valuables or lose all the pictures you have ever taken?
- Pics
Would you rather donate your body to science or donate your organs to people who need them?
- Organs sent to those who need 'em.

Nic Brough -Adaptavist-

Would you rather have a completely automated home or a self-driving car?
- Home. I'm lazy, and have automated a lot of our home already.
- Despite self-driving cars having the potential to be safer than letting us human idiots drive, we have a long way to go.
- More importantly, cars are an environmental nightmare, and we need to get rid of 99% of them (yes, including the better ones that burn electricity instead of dead dinosaur trees. Humans need to travel less)
Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?
- Invisible. As I answer that, imagine me saying "Bwahahahaha"
Would you rather have super sensitive taste buds or super sensitive hearing?
- Hearing
Would you rather lose all your money and valuables or lose all the pictures you have ever taken?
- Pictures. Until dementia kicks in, I have a memory
Would you rather donate your body to science or donate your organs to people who need them?
- Both - that is not a binary choice

That last question is a bit fuzzy. Everyone over 18 in my family has signed up for "donate what we can, then if what is left might be useful to medical science, use it"

Haoyang Lu_ox2zzs

Would you rather have a completely automated home or a self-driving car?
- A self-driving car would be nice (if it's REALLY safe)
Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?
- Capable of fly have many benefits and it's relatively controllable, I would pass the invisible thing. I think being completely invisible would definitely get me shelled/gassed/caged/locked and sliced in some kind of lab someday.😰
Would you rather have super sensitive taste buds or super sensitive hearing?
- NONE. =_=
Would you rather lose all your money and valuables or lose all the pictures you have ever taken?
- Good bye pictures I'll miss you someday.
Would you rather donate your body to science or donate your organs to people who need them?
- To be honest, if it won't bother my farewell ceremony too much, I'd rather sell them. (The more money I leave behind, the more Chinese Tomb Sweeping Day visits I can get for a couple more years, this zero trust strategy thing might be a little inappropriate, but that's my real thought).

Trudy P Claspill

Would you rather have a completely automated home or a self-driving car?
- Neither, so I'll take the self-driving car. I don't actually have to use the car, but I kinda have to use the home all the time.
Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?
- Invisible. I don't fear heights, but I fear falling from great heights. :-)
Would you rather have super sensitive taste buds or super sensitive hearing?
- Again, neither, but I'll take hearing. I could use noise blocking headphones, but how can you dull down super sensitive taste buds when you like highly spicy food?
Would you rather lose all your money and valuables or lose all the pictures you have ever taken?
- Definitely pictures. I have my imperfect memories, and pictures can't pay the mortgage.
Would you rather donate your body to science or donate your organs to people who need them?
- Donate my organs

Justyna Gdowik _ Deviniti _

• Automated home: Hello, Jetsons-style living!
• Fly for one day: I can finally escape traffic and feel like a superhero!
• Super sensitive taste buds: I'll be the ultimate foodie and detect even the tiniest ingredient in a dish.
• Lose all the pictures: Memories are in the heart, and I'll create new ones (with better filters!).
• Both donations: Why not be a generous science-loving organ superhero?

Great Friday Fun topic @Amanda Barber

Here are my answers:

Would you rather have a completely automated home or a self-driving car?

I'd rather have neither, but if I had to choose, a self-driving car (= more sleep).

Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?

I'd rather be invisible for one day, if possible, more days. Being able to fly would be super cool too though, but I'm already doing that in my dreams.

Would you rather have super sensitive taste buds or super sensitive hearing?

I'd rather have super sensitive hearing, if possible, to know what people are thinking, à la What "People" Want.

Would you rather lose all your money and valuables or lose all the pictures you have ever taken?

I'd rather lose all my money and valuables. Google Photos is my super safe. These memories are priceless.

Would you rather donate your body to science or donate your organs to people who need them?

I am an organ donor and would prefer to donate to people who need them.

Happy Friday!

Oh, this looks intriguing! Plus, it's Friday – what a perfect way to have some fun and provide the answers!

Would you rather have a completely automated home or a self-driving car?

>> I'm totally on board with the idea of having a fully automated home! Just imagine, after a tiring day, we can kick back and let the house handle all those mundane tasks.

Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?

>> Absolutely! Flying would be a game-changer! As much as I've enjoyed the invisibility movies, I'm all in for trying something new and soaring through the skies – it's going to be an adventure! 😄✈️

Would you rather have super sensitive taste buds or super sensitive hearing?

>> I'm a total foodie too! 🍔🍕 But hey, even if my hearing becomes super sensitive, it just means I'll enjoy the delightful sizzle of cooking and the fantastic flavors of food even more! 😄

Would you rather lose all your money and valuables or lose all the pictures you have ever taken?

>> Being a memory-oriented person, it might be a challenge, but hey, money and valuables have their importance. I'll go with money and valuables!

Would you rather donate your body to science or donate your organs to people who need them?

>> I will donate organs to people who need them, 100%.

@Amanda Barberyou've made my day with this super fun game! Thank you for creating such a fantastic game!✌️

Would you rather have a completely automated home or a self-driving car?
- Automated Home (Driving is too much fun)
Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?
- Fly (would feel very free and less creepy than being invisible in case I eavesdropped on anyone )
Would you rather have super sensitive taste buds or super sensitive hearing?
- Hearing (though that is counter to my previous remark about eavesdropping)
Would you rather lose all your money and valuables or lose all the pictures you have ever taken?
- Lose all the pictures you have ever taken (as sad as it would be, they may all disappear eventually anyway if I break my hard drive or stop paying for cloud storage. :- P)
Would you rather donate your body to science or donate your organs to people who need them?
- Donate my organs to people who need them (more direct opportunity to save a life, one would hope)

Dana A

Look at this fun Friday , We all have a lot in common.

I think I'm with the 12 year old on this one. Thanks Amanda for sharing!

Amanda Barber

Haha, me too! I guess I wasn't too surprised our answers were the same since she's my mini-me. 😍

Amanda Barber

That's a great point about the last question, @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- - I'm in the same boat with my thoughts. I also think about the fact that both cremation and burial impact our environment quite significantly, so use it all!
