Contributors vs creators licensed contributors?

Hi tanguy or/and community-members of JPD,

We created a group contributors and added 3 users but they are registered as licensed users. We only want to have contributors and 3 creator. What goes wrong? And more important: how do i fix it?

Hi @Communitymanager Ingrid van DiVault it sounds like what you did is:

Create the contributors group and add people to it
and then you added access to Jira Product Discovery (User role) to that group.

Instead you want to:

add the 3 users you want to give product access to to the "jira-product-discovery-users" group
Remove Jira Product Discovery (User role) from the jira-product-discovery-contributors group. Then add your contributors there.

Hi @Tanguy Crusson , i hope you wil help me again with the same issue. I tried to do all the steps (look at the first picture i think its the correct group and its not added to the usergroep) but when i accept the invite i dont see the project but u see the start.atlassian.com. In my testinggrcustomers is the same experience. What do i do wrong? I want only 3 creators and a lot of contributors but i cannot manage it correctly argh! OK - this is not a link to the project but the Atlassian site, which will redirect you to start.atlassian.net.

To invite people to a project, you have 2 options:

open the project, copy the URL, and send it to the people you want to join (something that looks like https://xyz.atlassian.net/jira/polaris/projects/ABC/ideas/view/123456)
From the project, open Project Settings > Access and invite them from there
