Looking to sell my bosses on Trello who are attached to hubspot. Can anyone give me some ammunition

They are concerned with the following:

It's not easy to reassign the lead

We cant search the dispositions

Cant bulk edit or bulk reassign leads

Also in the bulk action, as I check it yes you can bulk transfer but you cant search an specific lead the you want to transfer because there is no search bar

And Trello has no History of calls or txt/emails

Well for me, HS way better and easy to manage lead on our end

Hubspot has this kind of contact properties feature that you can search specific property and way easy to check.

I know this is a lot but anyone who can help me answer these will be a great help.

Cigdem from Hipporello here. I think evaluating Trello's capabilities without considering the power of Power-Ups would not give the right answers. I'd be interested to know your specific needs, how you get leads, how big is your team and your lead pool, what your workflow looks like, and so on.

Hipporello's Service Desk Power-Up allows you to collect leads through email and forms (each message and form creates a Trello card) on a branded portal and you can follow up with each lead from inside their cards. So I can say:

- You can have an overview of all communications with a client/lead on Trello
- You can see a history of emails

- You can automate messages (i.e. send a thank you message to those that submit forms)

- You can use Trello as a shared inbox with a custom outgoing email (for increased visibility and better branding).

HS has a great CRM, but depending on your needs, you might be paying too much for what can be done in a more simple way.

If you're looking for a CRM, go with the thing that was designed to be a CRM. While you can make a CRM-like experience within Trello with templates and Power-Ups, it's not going to be a cohesive experience and will cost you more in both dollars and time to maintain.

Hi, thanks for the reply. We have approx 10 agents at a time with a bit of a revolving door for some with plans to double/triple the team over the next 6 months.

We are already aware of the need for CRMBL and an email power up (I understand this doesn't appear in the browser though. Is that correct?).

We work on a predictive dialler and dial about 5000 leads a day but only about 40-50 get transferred manually into HubSpot. We have an enormous database of names/numbers which also requires managing.

They are qualified for an interest in receiving information from us, then an email is sent out, then someone else calls back to close them, and assuming they buy they are then passed onto a senior agent to develop a relationship with them.

So the data is passed onto other agents quite regularly. It's easy in Hubspot to transfer to another agent and this is also a concern that's been raised.

I have also attached a link to a feature on HubSpot that our IT guy pointed out 'Hubspot has this kind of feature that you can search for specific properties and is easy to check'.

Apologies but I'm not very technically minded and although I've done research on all this I need the direct answers rather than sending them constant links. As I mentioned they are stuck in their ways and not very open minded to change despite the fact I've pointed out 'Yes it may involve getting used too and implementing a new system but the long term benefits should easily outweigh any short term issues this may cause.

I have two agents who have used Trello before who swear by it and I'm convinced. Just need to put in a report covering all their concerns.

If you could kindly address these issues in an 'explanation for dummies' that would be a great help.

Appreciate this isn't a conventional request but any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Although this is an Atlassian Community, I always want to give honest and independent answers.

Using my background with Salesforce MS Dynamics and Netsuite CRM's, I have developed for CRM's in Trello for clients and the big wins are:

The simplicity - The learning curve for Trello is so much less than for other solutions for setting up and for users. This is a big deal
The flexibility - You can make Trello do almost anything if you put your imagination to work
Automation capability - Trello doesn't have the breadth of integrations that Hubspot and others have but the automation power is far greater. I can do things in Trello automation that aren't even close to being possible in Hubspot or Monday.com for example

Features that I have created in natively in Trello (with a few power-ups along the way):

Your sales pipeline in Trello standard workflow and visually Trello does board views better than the competition
Client database that can be added to deals/opportunities in the sales pipeline
Contact database linked to clients and deals/opportunities
Duplicate detection
Table view
Reporting and dashboard via BlueCat Reports
Ability to log activities such as calls, meetings etc...
Client onboarding
Email direct from Trello thanks to Sendboard Email for Trello
Automated email drip campaigns using Sendboard
Customer support portal via Hipporello service desk
Full workflow automation via Trello Automation
Ability to report on values of deals, weighted value, lead conversion rate
Contact forms using BlueCat Forms or TinyPowerups Forms
You can use the Bulk action power-up

So as you can see, you can replicate an awful lot in Trello but it doesn't come easy.

My honest and independent choice for an affordable and very functional CRM which I would choose above Hubspot is Monday CRM. It's only drawback for compared to Trello is the lameness of the automation engine.

I will finish by saying what I say to all of my clients, take a step back. Quite often we are dictated by the tool whereas it should be at the end of the People > Processes > Tools chain. You know your process. You know its strengths and weaknesses. You should hopefully know where you want to get to. Mark on a whiteboard, where you are today, where you want to be in a years time (what you want your perfect process to look) and go about seeking a tool that best fits your ability to achieve that. You'll never get the perfect solution, they don't exist but pick the one that give you the very best chance to achieve your goals.
