Using JPD with existing Advanced Roadmap

Question

Hi,

Is there a way to import elements from my current Advanced Roadmap into JPD?
For instance - I want to use the Weighted Score Formula feature to prioritize my existing initiatives which are under the Advanced Roadmap. Can I do it quickly and efficiently somehow, or do I have to manually log them into JPD as Ideas?

@daniel.teper here are instructions on exporting from Advanced Roadmaps and to import into Jira Product Discovery:

There's also a bulk move feature that allows you to move issues between projects ie. from a Jira Software project to Jira Product Discovery:

* Top menu bar in Jira: Filters > Advanced issue search
* Search for the issues you want to import in the Jira Product Discovery project
* Top-right of the screen: ... > Bulk change all issues
* And then follow the prompts from the bulk operation

Best to test out the bulk export on a small subset first.

It's not in our plans to add weighted formulae to Advanced Roadmaps for now. Generally speaking Advanced Roadmaps's focus is on planning and sequencing work rather than prioritisation.

@daniel.teper Your question is interesting to me because we are just rolling out Advanced Roadmaps and also looking at JPD. I am a bit confused when you talk about "Weighted Score Formula" - I am not aware of that being in Advanced Roadmaps (although we do want something like that). Could you explain that a bit more please?

Could you please elaborate on how to do the second option you suggested?

The ability to use a weighted formula for creating prioritization score based on custom fields in the Advanced Roadmap is something of great value for me, and I believe for many more.
Is that something you are considering implementing in the Advanced Roadmap tool?
