Bamboo Server upgrade, error aftre install - Service-SPecific error code 1

Question

We have started Bamboo Server upgrade.
Bamboo version was 6.7.2 hence we can directly go to the latest version installation 8.2.4
on Windows 64 bit

We performed steps as per : https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamboo/bamboo-upgrade-guide-720411366.html
We are getting issue at the last step , which is:
If previous version of Bambo was executed as Windows service then configure Bamboo to run as a service on Windows, using the service.bat executable.

We tried to run StartBamboo and we are getting this error : net helpmsg 3547, Service-SPecific error code 1
We tried starting service from services.msc as per the suggestion , but still same error : Service-SPecific error code 1

Thank you for your help with the question.

We have a Bamboo server where services were not working and when we tried to do the upgrade we faced the error.

When we go to check the error files we dont have any log for the current actions in the <bamboo-home>/log/ folder

There are some log files from 2021

Could you please suggest what we can do ?

The Service-SPecific error code 1 error is pretty generic and doesn't tell us much.

Make a copy of the current <bamboo-home>/log/atlassian-bamboo.log, then as an immediate action, restore Bamboo from your snapshot/backup so you can recover the operation.

Then, check your saved atlassian-bamboo.log for any message that may indicate what's wrong with it.

Remember that Bamboo must have a valid, current licence, before attempting any upgrades, otherwise, it will fail.
