Copied a card but can no longer edit the existing information in the copied card

Question

Hi Hive!

I recently copied a meeting notes card and created a new card with the copied card.  However, I cannot edit the Activity in the card - which of course is where my notes & action items are.

Is there a work around for this?  A different way to copy the card?

Ah! I see, thanks for clarifying :)  It looks like it's expected - I see the same on my end. You may have to manage that process manually by copying the card without the comments and then copying the comments from the original card to the newly created one. I couldn't see an easy way to automate that process other than just adding a butler card button to copy the card without comments 😕

This would be adding information to existing comments:

There isn't the 'Edit' or 'Delete' function below the comment that will allow me to edit, if it was part of the card that was coppied.

Hi @Gwyn Brown ! Welcome to the community :)  Are you referencing comments in the card?

So you're trying to add a comment to a card, but that option doesn't seem to exist?

Maybe the board admin disabled comments? https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/disabling-comments-on-cards/
