How can I checkout a file from another branch?

Hi,

if I want to transfer all changes of certain file to another branch (not only cherry-pick), I'm doing it like this:

git checkout develop ./components/Modal.js

This command updates ./components/Modal.js with the changes from develop branch.

Is there a way to do this directly in SourceTree?

No. This is definitely an advanced use case, and I imagine if Atlassian did implement a way to do it in SourceTree, we'd get far more questions like: "how did the version of this file from my other branch get into this one?" or "why did switching my branch only change one file?".
