status of the component can't change when the incident is issued.

I want to change the status of component when the incident is issued using API.
When I entered below curl command, as I think the incident is issued with mapping component.
but It is not changed the status of component.
I think Perhaps something is wrong with 「-d "incident[${component_id}]=major_outage"」

You can not just set the status, it is not a field.  Status is an indicator of where an item is in its workflow.  To change the status of an issue, you must tell Jira to transition it from one status to another.
