Can I limit the download and upload bandwidth of Sourcetree?

I have an upload speed of 4 Mb/s.  Whenever I am pushing to the repo, it completely kills my internet connection for the whole house, because it's using my entire internet bandwidth to do the upload.  

The Sourcetree upload is also unstable and sometimes fails and I have to try again.  I'm guessing is because when the entire internet bandwidth is in use by the upload, but there are still multiple programs requesting the internet connection at the same time, the connection becomes unstable and packets get lost.

Is there any way I could limit my push bandwidth to say, 2 Mb/s?

I got a reply via the ticket team in case anyone else has this question.  They said to use a 3rd party solution, such as the "Network Link Conditioner" tool for Xcode (for Mac).  I suggested that Sourcetree should add a way to do it internally, since every program I've ever used that takes all the network bandwidth by default includes such a feature.
