linking to a value on a trello board that launches an item such as a report from a browser.

Question

I am a report guy that uses Trello to manage the reports we develop fix and modify. it would be great if I could put a name on a report that would take me to that report. So in our world, as you create a new custom report for clients they inevitably change the name of a report in my case just last week the name changed 3 times. Is there a way to create a link that would point to a report launch a browser and open it when needed that way new users or people who touch the report for the first time can make sure they are working with the correct report? Is this possible.

In our case we use Microsoft SQL Server with SSRS Report Builder and IE (Which it looks like you do not support.IE)

We also use Business Objects Crystal Reports for reporting as well.

ANY AND ALL Help would be appreciated even if there is a work around to this using Windows File Explorer launching a report over the network files and folders.

Also can you still be a part of the beta team. Is there a Beta team sign up or do you have to be invited now.

I'm not really sure I understand.  Do you just want to make a card called "New Report Name" on a board somewhere and just change the title of the card when the report changes?  Or you can add links to cards (click on the card to open up the back and use the Attach button).  So you could add the link to your report and update it if you wanted to when you needed to.

What I would have to show you is proprietary so unfortunately, I cannot. Basically it is this, say I have a report named "New Report Name or Modified Report Name." This report is in a location were it is being worked on. As report creators and fixers we need to make sure we are going back to the right version with the right name. Often we need to change the name as per the client request. So it can get confusing where things are and what has the new name changed to......like digging through emails or looking for a chat thread etc. It is inefficient. So if I have a ticket in trello that someone else has worked on but their activity note has a link in the card on the board to the current report in a tool like SSRS or Crystal Reports Server (BusObjectsEnterprise) I can get straight to the point and fix the right report everytime. That kind of link would be valuable to many many companies. Is this possible or am I dreaming...?
