Do Atlassian products have a plugin to monitor usage of all other plugins?

For example, our Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket Data centre installations use a lot of plugins each (say Gliffy Diagrams for Confluence) . We like to find out whether they are being used and if yes, how many people (and may be who) use each plugin.

Is there a plugin/ or other way to extract these statistics please?

Hi Vas,

This is explored a little bit for Jira in Spring Cleaning for Jira - comparing a bit how to check workflows manually or using an app. This only captures apps that are used in workflows, and only the workflow part of their usage.

In Confluence, you can use the Macro usage report to see which macros are used how frequently and on what pages. This only captures macro usage, not apps that provide non-macro functionality.

I'm not aware of any methods to check app usage at all in Bitbucket Server / Data Center.

Unfortunately the answer is really "it depends" - what does the app do? Who asked for it to be installed? How long ago was that? For some apps this will be easier than others - for example, Gliffy should show up in the macro usage report for Confluence. But it will take a bit of investigation into each app and the way it could be used.

One possible means of help is asking directed questions about individual apps in the Marketplace collection here on Community. Some folks have come up with ways to identify the usage of particular apps, and any additional knowledge in that area is definitely appreciated by everyone.
