Whenever I "Check out in source tree" from the bitbucket website, I usually get the error above. That is because the value for "Remote branch" in the checkout parameters quickly switches from the actual branch name it was supposed to be to the word "default" and I can't switch it back. Sometimes the switch is slow enough that I can click "checkout" quickly and it'll work, usually it's almost instantly and there's no time to react. I've tried to raise an issue for source tree in the past but it's been widely ignored.
I usually have to fetch and pull from the client itself, which isn't terrible, but it's obnoxious that this convenient feature simply doesn't work.
