I need to use the uptime API, but my team does not want to see the historical uptime chart. Is there any way I can use the uptime API without checking the historical uptime chart, or any way to hide the historical uptime chart from the UI?

You can hide the uptime showcase on the component itself by selecting components from the left hand nav in the management console > edit > then disable 'Display the historical status of this component on my status page'
