Two different Windows User on the same server machine

We would like to use Source Tree in the following way: Both of us has different Windows Instances. We both have separately installed Source Tree Desktops on our instances. Each of us would like to work on the same repository, using different git dev branches (one for me, one for him) and both of these dev branches would have a different local instance (in separate folders of course) for each of our Source Trees.

So the main question would be: is it possible to have who different Sourcetrees with two different local code instances installed to two different Windows Instances on the same server machine?

Hi Banka,

welcome to the Atlassian Community!

From what I remember you need to install SourceTree once and all the settings are stored in the personal user directory (Windows Key + R (for opening run) - then type there: %userprofile% and acknowledge with ENTER).

That means every users needs to configure Sourcetree but after a user switch both users of the PC can use it.
This is how it worked in the past at least.

Please note: as per definition SourceTree is still then only installed once but for settings pointing to your specific user folder so you won't see the settings of your colleague (assuming he has just an own user account - probably what you called "instance").
