how does sourcetree save my password?

Hello I like to know when saving my username and password if it is encrypted by the program.

I am asking this because TortoiseHg only saves it in a text file

For anyone else who is looking for an answer to this question here is the response of Atlassian:

I can confirm that the password you choose is encrypted not stored in a flat file or text file.

Good question. The mac version uses the OSX keychain. On Windows, it uses something internal.
