Unable to copy delegated members in the copied file

Gaoxin Xu

HI Trello team,

While we copied a template board (has members delegated to each card), the new copied board has no members delegated, which means we have to choose members manually for each card for each new board copied, and takes a lot of time.

The new copied one has no members added to each card as original board:

Please advise us how to address the issue. Thanks a lot Trello team.

Hi @Gaoxin Xu

I'm afraid this behavior is expected currently with templates. When a copy of a board or template board is made, the members on the original do not carry over to the copy. As a result any assigned members on cards will not persist, because those assigned members aren't on the new board.

I'll definitely let the team know you'd like to see an option to keep members when copying that template, although I can't say with certainty if that'd be something we'll change in the short term.

For now, you would need to manually add those members once more, but you could explore using Butler to help speed that process up a bit.
