Is there a way I can make a card span multiple dates in the calendar view?

I'm looking to add some items to our calendar like "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" and would like that item to span the entire month of October in our team calendar. Is there a way to do this?

 

I created Custom fields for "Start Date" and "End Date," but that didn't seem to work. Is there any way I could connect those to the calendar?

I don't know of a way to do it with Trello's Calendar PU, but I personally use (note its a paid app but they have a free version) Planyway that can do this for you using their "Month" view.
