How can I use Sourcetree on Mac without keychain and SSH?

Hi everyone,

I think my question is self-explanatory. I don't want to setup a keychain or SSH on my laptop. When I enter my username and password for some git account, Sourcetree asks continuously for a keychain and when I refuse to create a keychain, it does not go further. That is really frustrating.

No, I don't have a keychain. I delete it as soon as possible on every Mac I get.

It is really a pity that Sourcetree is unable to work without a keychain. Forcing to use keychain is unacceptable when there is a simple solution. I do it easily on command line.

Hi Alirza,

It is asking for keychain access as it sores username password you use for https access. As it is secret information it has to store in the keychain. You already have a keychain, I don't think you need to set that up.

If you use https link of the repository, you should be fine with not setting up SSH.
