Why aren't my due dates being carried over when automatically converting checklist items to cards?

I'm trying to create a Card Button to automate my study review schedule but the due dates I'm having it set aren't being kept when the checklist items are automatically converted into separate cards. If I go through the checklist and manually convert each checklist item into a card the due date is still there. Not sure what's going on, help?

Here's what I did:

• Add an empty checklist named "Review Schedule" to the card
• add item "{cardname} - 1st review" to checklist "Review Schedule",
• set the item due in 3 hours
• add item "{cardname} - 2nd review" to checklist "Review Schedule"
• set the item due in 1 days
• add item "{cardname} - 3rd review" to checklist "Review Schedule"
• set the item due in 4 days
• add item "{cardname} - 4th review" to checklist "Review Schedule"
• set the item due in 11 days
• add item "{cardname} - 5th review" to checklist "Review Schedule"
• set the item due in 32 days
• add item "{cardname} - 6th review" to checklist "Review Schedule"
• set the item due in 62 days
• and convert all the items in checklist "Review Schedule" into linked cards.

The end goal is to have a Board Button where I can pull all the items I need to study into weekly and daily task lists, but I can't automate THAT if the due dates get lost.

@Alina Rehkopf sounds like the Butler command to convert checklist items to cards hasn't been updated for the advanced checklists feature yet. If you go back to trello.com/contact and go all the way through past the automated responses etc. you'll be able to submit this as a bug report to the Trello team.

One thing that might be the case is that by the time the "convert all items" command runs, the checklist due date assignments aren't actually present in the backend somehow. An experiment you could try would be to have the board button add all those things then add a label like "Convert" to the card, and then have a second rule that converts the checklist into linked cards when the Convert label is added. It's a long shot but maybe if you don't convert in the same command as adding, it'll work.

If it doesn't, this is a kind of workaround allowing you to put the number of days into the checklist item, you can create your board button that will populate the checklist items and instead of setting the items due, put the number of days to offset into the checklist item name and then this command will trigger and convert each item into a linked card due in that many days:
