How can I prevent all new cards defaulting to 'Watch"?

Victoria Murphy

I have looked through community answers for this - but none of the answers gives me the help I need.

In Trello I have starred emails come into a list on a board.

Each new card (starred email) - automatically has watch on it and I don't want this.

How do I turn off this Trello autowatch default on new cards?

Thank you for any insight/help.

Kind regards

Victoria

How did you set up the starred email into a list on the board? Via zapier?

Hi there.

Yes I did. I have checked the set up a dozen times to see where I can turn it off in Zapier as well and cannot see anything.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.

Any thoughts?

kind regards

@Victoria Murphy when you create the cards, are you adding any comments to the card with Zapier? If so, then what you might find is that if you untick the "watch" checkbox when adding a comment to another card, that adding a comment via the Zapier API won't automatically watch the card:

This checkbox only needs to be unchecked once and then it applies it throughout your account.
