Collaborating in Slack and seen in Trello

I have decided to link Slack with my law firm's Trello account. We have a lot of experience with Trello, but no experience with Slack. Is it possible for conversations we have in Slack about a file/card in Trello to appear in Trello as part of an ongoing Trello correspondence between staff? 

I guess we want to use Slack to collaborate remotely and chat about cases we're working on, but I'd like us to be able to look at Trello for conversation history. Is that possible? Do you recommend something different/better? Please advise. Thank you!

You can drag the timestamp from a conversation in slack onto a Trello card as an attachment.  If you turn on the Slack Power-Up then when you view the back of the card it should show you that snippet of conversation and allow you to navigate back to it.  You should also add the Trello app to Slack.
