Does Trello support Swim Lanes?

We've been using Trello to do pre-planning of Sprints, etc. However, we'd like to leverage the tool to create swim lanes for each of our teams with the columns as the sprints. This will help us to see all the work across teams broken up by sprints. Does Trello support the use of swim lanes?

Welcome to the community.

Natively, Trello does not support swimlanes, but I know of a number of users who use a Chrome extension. Check out https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/swimlanes-for-trello/lhgcmlaedabaaaihmfdkldejjjmialgl?hl=en and see if that suits your team. Note that every developer/team member will need to install this extension.

This chrome extension doesn't work anymore. I'm licensed through my company to use Trello rather than other kanban tools, but unfortunately it's not really usable without swimlanes.

Swimines are really necessary as soon as a Kanban board is used more broadly. Be it for example to get a clear division per team member or topic. Actually we will not use Trello because of that.

Chris - perhaps there was an update compatibility issue when you tried. I just installed the chrome extension listed in @JimmyVanAU 's post and it works beautifully. The key is to add the swimmer emoji/icon on the lists you want to be swimlanes. From there as you add new lists you will need to refresh the page in order to realign the swimlanes (they revert back to default list view as you add new lists)
